In 1930 the 500th anniversary of the death of Vytautas the Great was solemnly commemorated. On the occasion of this anniversary, an obelisk to Vytautas the Great was erected in Radviliškis, in the barracks yard (Klaipėdos Street), on the initiative of the soldiers of the Second Engineering Battalion. It is a concrete obelisk on a stepped platform. On the front there is a shield with the sign of Vytautas and the inscription: "1430 -1930". The monument was demolished and buried in the post-war years. The initiative of the "Historical Memory" club in 1989. found, restored and rebuilt. Consecrated in 1989 July 15, commemorating the 579th anniversary of the Battle of Zalgiris.
In 2017, in celebration of the 450th anniversary of the city of Radviliškis, the monument was renovated: it was covered with a layer of granite, the tiles around it were changed, the panel with Vytautas' sign and the inscription "1430-1930" were arranged.
