Its length in the north-east–south direction is 1.43 km, and its width is up to 1.25 km. The elevation is 107.5 m. The lake basin was formed after a block of ice melted. The western shores are 1–3 m high, while the other shores are low and marshy. The lake contains a fairly large wooded island, Ragelis Island (2.84 ha). The Šiladis River, a tributary of the Mūša River, flows through the lake from west to north-east.
