The manor that belonged to the families of counts Čapskiai, noblemen Šemetos, Gorskiai has been mentioned since the 15th century. The owners of the manor built neo-gothic manor buildings that have survived to the present day as well as planted the park and dug ponds. The manor was famous for its luxuriously furnished interiors and abundant collections of works of art.
