ŠIAULIAI PHOTOGRAPHY WEEK 2026
Šiauliai has long been rich in photography-related events, but 2026 is a special year – the city celebrates its 790th anniversary. On this occasion, for the first time, Šiauliai Photography Week will take place, offering both residents and visitors a wide and diverse programme of photography events.
Solo and thematic exhibitions, lectures, and presentations will reveal the significance of photographic imagery in the life of the city. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know Šiauliai’s creators more deeply and to understand their contribution to shaping the city’s visual identity narratives.
The remarkable convergence of photography events highlights the deep connection between Šiauliai and photography. It also creates an important opportunity to strengthen the city’s photographic identity, develop new formats for presenting photography, and bring together local creative forces for collaborative projects.
Organizers of Šiauliai Photography Week 2026: Šiauliai Art Gallery, Photography Museum (a division of the Šiauliai “Aušra” Museum), Šiauliai Culture Centre Gallery “Laiptai”, “Šiaulių kraštas” editorial office, Independent art project space “Garažas”.
