Jono Nekrašiaus parodų „RUDUO JAPONIJOJE“ ir „JAPONIJOS POPIERINĖS BRANGENYBĖS: EKSLIBRISAI IR KALENDORIAI“ atidarymas

Concerts

On October 8, at 5:30 p.m., an exhibition dedicated to the restoration of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Japan will be held in the Stained Glass Hall of the Saulė Concert Hall.
35th anniversary, opening.

We invite you to Jonas Nekrašius' exhibitions "Autumn in Japan" and "Japanese Paper Jewels: Bookplates and Calendars", prepared from his personal collection.

The exhibition "Autumn in Japan" presents photographs by Jonas Nekrašius, inviting us to look at Japan through autumn landscapes, architecture, culture, and everyday moments. The photographs reveal the unique beauty of Japan, the harmony of tradition and modernity, and the relationship between nature and man.

The second exhibition “Japanese Paper Jewels: Bookplates and Calendars” introduces the unique tradition of Japanese graphic and paper art. The bookplate – the mark of the owner of a book – has long been a symbol of ownership in Japan, not only as a book, but also as an independent work of art. Japanese bookplates are characterized by subtle color harmony, poetic symbolism, attention to detail, and a close connection between art and nature.

The exhibition features bookplates and calendars by Japanese artists selected from the collection of Jonas Nekrašius, revealing the diversity and exceptional aesthetics of Japanese artists. Among the authors presented in the exhibition are Akira Kurosaki, Hagiwara Hideo, Hagiwara Keisuke, Hara Yosiaki, Hiratsuka Akio, Keisei Kobayashi, Miyashita Tokio, Nakano Akira, Sato Yonejiro, Ueda Osamu and many others.

This exhibition is an opportunity to get to know Japan's paper culture, book art traditions, and delicate graphics, which Japanese artist Kadzutoshi Sakamoto has called "paper jewels."

The exhibition opening will be attended by:
Kankliai trio "Aušrinė" – Regina Vaišnorienė, Regina Marozienė, Karolina Tumėnytė;
Alvaidas Bernotas (Birbyne);
Darius Daknys (birbynė).

We kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibitions and to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Japan.

EXHIBITIONS ARE ON DISPLAY FROM OCTOBER 5–30 IN THE "STAIN GLASS" HALL OF THE "SAULĖ" CONCERT HALL.
