FREE SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF UKRAINE | ART GALLERY

Education

Šiauliai Art Gallery expresses solidarity and support for the struggling Ukraine and informs that the institution is ready to provide free services to the residents of Ukraine who have found refuge in Šiauliai.

We invite Ukrainian residents staying in Šiauliai to attend the gallery exposition and educational classes “Cyanotype. Blue Sunprint Workshop ”and“ What is that graphic? “ free of charge.

Below is a list of educational activities on offer.

 

CYANOTYPE. BLUE SUNPRINT WORKSHOP

 

The educational session is designed to get acquainted with one of the first ways to obtain a photographic image, during which a monochrome blue print is obtained on paper using chemicals.

The participants of the activity are briefly acquainted with the history of the occurrence of cyanotype and the possibilities of its use. Led by an educator, participants practice the cyanotype technique.

At the end of the session, each participant can take their cyanotype with them.

Attention! The session is only available in sufficient daylight!

Recommended age group: 1-12 students, adults, families.

WHAT IS THAT GRAPHIC?

In the creative graphics workshop, participants have the opportunity to get acquainted with the diversity and possibilities of graphic art, its applicability, to discover and interpret the works of art exhibited in the gallery, and to create their own graphic prints.

After a brief acquaintance with the works exhibited in the gallery, the participants of the education are introduced to the methods of obtaining a graphic image and a print: monotype or carving. Which graphics technique you want to try can be chosen according to the age, possibilities and needs of the participants.

At the end of the session, each participant can take their own graphic print with them.
