We invite you to a sacred musical journey inspired by some of the oldest chants of Christian tradition. The programme intertwines Byzantine, Greek, Armenian, Georgian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, and Syrian choral melodies that have nurtured spiritual contemplation and the depth of prayer for centuries. Listeners will have the unique opportunity to hear both archaic modes and their contemporary interpretations, including the premiere of “Bogonatale Mergele” by composer Max Roomsky.
The works reflect themes of the Nativity of Christ, Theophany, and the veneration of the Virgin Mary, all resonating with the spirit of the RESURREXIT Festival.
