LRT Klasika and the Šiauliai State Chamber Choir Polifonija, together with conductor Linas Balandis, invite you to a special Sunday concert, which will serve as the introduction to the 43rd Festival RESURREXIT. It will be an evening of sacred music dedicated to contemplation and profound spiritual experience.
The concert will feature composer Kristina Vasiliauskaitė’s cycle “Nine Motets for Good Friday.” Based on biblical and liturgical texts, the composer created a sensitive musical narrative reflecting the events of Good Friday: Christ’s suffering, rejection, silence, and the anticipation of hope. The motets follow the sequence of the Good Friday narrative. This program invites listeners not only to appreciate musical aesthetics but also to experience the spiritual depth of sacred music, conveyed by the composer with restraint, reverence, and great sensitivity.
