PERFORMANCE OF THE THEATER OF FREAKS FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY "SONGS FROM CHILDHOOD"

in 2023 Thursday, August 3, 6 p.m. Chaim Frenkel Villa Park (Vilniaus St. 74, Šiauliai) will host the event of the 20th International Chaim Frenkel Villa Summer Festival - the performance of Keistuolių theater for the whole family "Songs from Childhood".

One late autumn evening, Aidas Giniotis - director, pedagogue, actor - was sitting under an old plum tree of a rural homestead in Širvintos district like a true Stranger. The creative time passed while the music was playing and Giniotis had no idea what was about to happen: he was looking at the anxiously humming students playing various instruments. Turning his head to the side, when the wind suddenly picked up, all the trees shook and the plum fell directly on the bare back of Giniotis' head. Before the students could laugh and shout "Eureka!", Giniotis took a bite of a delicious plum and realized that the season of falling plums is the perfect time to start the band Plum Bum (lit. "Falling plum").

The group, remembering the sounds of childhood songs, created the program "Songs from childhood", which takes you back to the distant past, when forgotten songs sung by Vytautas Kernagis, actors of "Keistulių teatro", children of "Telebimbam" and other artists are brought back to life. Piglets, white ticks, blue buses and other animals fly in those songs, inviting you to spend time together somewhere beautiful, cozy and warm, like in Africa.
