Šiaulėnai regional museum is located in an old prewar house. There is an authentic kitchen with an oven for bread-making in the centre of the building and the chimney where meat used to be smoked. One of the halls is dedicated to brothers Balys and Jonas Buračai. Balys - was a famous photographer and ethnographer. Jonas was an artist. A separate room is dedicated to Vladas Tiškus, a famous figure of independent Lithuania. When he came back from his exile he stayed in this his aunt‘s Antanina Kuzminskiene house. The rooms on the first floor host exhibits of prominent people of this region and you can find various household utensils there.
